The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced Mine Planning Manager to join the team in Kalimantan, Indonesia. This pivotal role will oversee mine planning and scheduling for large-scale open-cut coal operations, reporting directly to the Project Director. With responsibilities including mentoring national staff, managing multi-contractor agreements, and contributing to synchronized mining, hauling, and barging activities, this role requires strategic thinking and leadership. Challenges include multi-pit operations, water management, and adapting to dynamic mining conditions.
Requirements
To be successful, you will need:
- A degree in Mining Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in open-cut coal mining.
- Strong expertise in mine planning and scheduling (short to long-term).
- Proven ability to manage and mentor national engineering personnel.
- Experience in contract management and working with multi-contractor environments.
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills (Basa and English proficiency preferred).
