About the Role
Joblin Partners is recruiting an HR Superintendent for a leading mining operation in North Queensland. Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, this newly created role will play a key role in shaping HR strategy, managing employee and industrial relations, and partnering with site leadership to enhance workforce engagement.
As HR Superintendent, you will oversee the full employee lifecycle, with a particular focus on employee relations, performance management, and cultural transformation. Working closely with the General Manager Operations and key site leaders, you will be responsible for embedding HR best practice, supporting leadership capability, and ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Employee & Industrial Relations: Provide expert advice on disciplinary matters, investigations, and grievance resolution,
- Workforce Planning & Engagement: Support retention, succession planning, and cultural initiatives,
- HR Strategy Implementation: Work closely with the Head of HR to develop and implement policies, processes, and leadership frameworks,
- Performance & Talent Management: Coach and support leaders in performance reviews and employee development,
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to the Fair Work Act, modern awards, and HR policies.
About You
- Extensive ER/IR experience, ideally in mining, resources, or heavy industry,
- Strong ability to influence and partner with site leadership teams,
- In-depth knowledge of Australian employment law, modern awards, and enterprise agreements,
- A passion for driving cultural change and improving employee engagement,
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills,
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, industrial relations, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
