This newly created management role is key to driving approvals and fostering strong community relationships, ensuring alignment with their long-term vision.
About the Role
As the Approvals & Community Superintendent, you will lead and coordinate approvals processes while building meaningful connections with the community and stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity to bring innovation to a legacy operation, modernizing systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage EA amendments and mining lease applications to support operational continuity and growth.
- Oversee tenure management, liaising with consultants and regulatory bodies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with indigenous and local communities, including cultural heritage management.
- Support community investment programs and oversee community engagement initiatives.
- Drive innovation in disturbance permitting processes and approvals systems, enhancing efficiency and sustainability.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in approvals and tenure management within mining, resources, or similar industries.
- Strong understanding of EA amendments and regulatory frameworks.
- Familiarity with cultural heritage and community engagement practices.
- Change management and innovation skills to modernize approvals and community systems.
- Exposure to social sciences is advantageous.
