We are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join a dynamic Technical Services team at a growing mining operation in the Townsville region. Reporting to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer, this role offers significant growth opportunities with exciting future plans for expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide geotechnical support and monitoring for mining operations,
- Assist with pit wall stability assessments using prisms, total stations, and radar systems,
- Support cutback and deepening projects for both pits, monitoring structural rock conditions,
- Work closely with the Senior Geotechnical Engineer and other departments to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Requirements:
- Experience in geotechnical engineering, in either underground or open cut mining,
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges,
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
